Valheim - Call to Arms Update

The Iron Gate team has revamped the Valheim Combat system, adding 18 new weapons, 13 new Trinket items, a new skill, 2 new armour sets, a ton of new customisation options and even some new enemies!

New Weapons

There are four types of weapons that have been added in this update: The Bottled Blobs, the Training Weapons, the Fist weapons and the Battleaxes.
Bottled Blobs
All bottled blobs require the new “Corked Vial” item, acquirable through the Bog Witch, selling 5 of them for 150 coins. The trophies can be gained for the respective monster
Frost: Corked Vial x1, Stone Golem Trophy x1, Resin x3
Summons a Frost Blob. It’s good for slowing things down and freezing enemies.
Lava: Corked Vial x1, Sulfur x10, Proustite Powder x10
Summons a Lava Blob. It burns enemies over time.
Poison: Corked Vial x1, Blob Trophy x1, Resin x3
Summons a Poison Blob. It gives off a poison cloud that damages enemies slowly.
Tar: Corked Vial x1, Growth Trophy x1, Tar x3
Summons a Tar Blob. It slows enemies down, making them easier to fight.
Training Weapons
All of the training, or Wooden, weapons are loot that can be found across the map, besides the Wooden Sword, a craftable weapon.
Wooden Sword: Crafted at a Workbench for 5 Wood, 3 Finewood and 2 Corewood
Wooden Axe: Found in a chest buried in a Viking Graveyard.
Wooden Knife: Found in a chest buried in a Viking Graveyard.
Wooden Mace: Found in a chest in Combat Ruins or in Draugr Village Great Halls.
Wooden Spear: Found in a chest in an Abandoned Outpost and in Abandoned Huts.
Wooden Sledge: Found in a chest in the Swamp Runestone Tower and in Swamp Graves.
Wooden Battleaxe: Found in a chest in the Mountains.
Wooden Atgeir: Found in a chest in the Plains.
Wooden Greatsword: Found in the Infested Mine Treasure chests.
All of the training weapons deal 1 damage and cannot be upgraded; they are mainly suited for training or practice matches between players. They can all be repaired at a level 1 Workbench and all have 12 block armour.
Fist Weapons
As there have only been 2 new Fist weapons added, I’ll speak on each individually.
Paws of the Bear
This fist weapon has been added as an earlier game weapon, allowing you to work toward your Fists skill whilst also dealing damage early-game.
It can be crafted with 2 Bear Hide, 2 Bear Paws and 4 Leather Scraps. It can be upgraded using bear hide and leather scraps.
The Paws of the Bear deal 25 slash damage, increasing by 4 with each upgrade, with the upgrade path of 25/29/33/37.
Vilebone Maulclaws
This fist weapon is currently the strongest fist weapon for the late game, being crafted from materials found in the plains.
It can be crafted with 2 Bear Hide, 2 Vile Ribcage, 2 Black Metal and 4 Linen Thread. It can be upgraded with all of the same materials.
The Vilebone Maulclaws deal 20 Slash Damage and 60 Pierce Damage, the slash damage increasing by 4 each upgrade, with the upgrade path of 20/24/28/32.
Battleaxes
There have only been two Battleaxes added, so I will talk about them individually, just as the Fist weapons.
Black Metal Battleaxe
A plains-tier battleaxe, increasing how far into the game this type of weapon is usable.
It is crafted with 5 Linen, 30 Black Metal and 10 Finewood. It is upgraded with Linen and Black Metal.
The Black Metal Battleaxe deals 110 Slash damage and 60 Chop damage (Trees). This increases by 6 Slash and 2.5 Chop per upgrade level, going in upgrade paths of: 110/116/122/128 and 60/62.5/65/67.5.
Skull Splittur
A Mistlands tier Battleaxe, allowing you to use this weapon into the end-game.
It is crafted with 15 Yggdrasil wood, 30 Iron and 10 Refined Eitr. It can be upgraded with Yggdrasil wood and Iron.
The Skull Splittur deals 130 Slash damage and 70 Chop damage (Trees). This increases by 6 Slash and 2.5 Chop per upgrade level, going in upgrade paths of: 130/136/142/148 and 70/72.5/75/77.5.
Trinkets

Iron Gate has recently added 13 new trinkets, each with its unique crafting recipe and effects. Trinkets introduced a new resource, Adrenaline. Adrenaline is built by time spent in battle. We will go through each trinket, how to craft it, what its effect is and how much adrenaline it requires.

New Skill
Iron Gate has recently added a new skill, the Dodge skill, allowing you to get a Perfect Dodge Roll (Dodge an attack that would have caused you damage and get a % of the stamina back, scaling with skill level)
New Armour

There are two armour sets and one headpiece that have been added in this update.
Sweat Band
A purely cosmetic item that can be purchased from Hildir for 175 coins.
The Bear Armour Set
A light armour set to bridge the gap between Troll Leather and Fenris Armour. It has a unique perk called “Berserk” which gives +30% Health Regeneration, +15% Stamina Regeneration and +10% increase to Slash and Chop damage, but slightly Weak VS Blunt, Slash and Pierce damage.
Crafted with Bear hide and a Bear Trophy, Bear Paws and Blueberries.
The Vilebone Armour Set
A light armour set to bridge the gap between Fenris armour and the Ask armour set. It has a unique perk called “Vilebone Wrath” which gives +20% Health Regeneration, +40% Stamina Regeneration and a +20% increase to Blunt and Pierce damage, but slightly weak vs Blunt, Slash and Pierce damage.
Crafted with Bear hide, a Vile trophy, a Vile Ribcage and Linen.
New Enemies
They added two new enemies, the bear, or Bjorn, found in the Black Forest, and the Vile being found in the Plains.
Bear (Bjorn)

The bear had 800 health with 4 different attacks, dealing 55 Pierce damage on Bite, 50 Slash and 40 Chop with its Claws, 25 Slash and 40 Chop from a swipe, 50 blunt and 40 chop with the Slam attack.
It is weak to Fire, resistant to Frost, Blunt and Pierce and Immune to Spirit, Chop and Pickaxe.
Vile

The Vile has 1200 health, and it also has 4 different attacks, the same as the Bear. The attacks are the same, but they deal more damage, as such: 20 Slash and 130 Pierce, 60 Slash and 150 Blunt, 120 Slash and 40 Chop, 130 Slash and 40 Pickaxe.
It is weak to Fire, Resistant to Frost, Blunt and Pierce and Immune to Spirit, Chop and Pickaxe.
